It’s been quite some time since I posted here. My last post was almost a year ago, just as I finished up with DataMunch and the ANZ Innovyz START program. The past 11 months have been quite a journey. I graduated with a Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from The University of Adelaide. I joined the founding team of FitUsIn. I moved back to Sydney from Adelaide.
FitUsIn has been the primary focus. Vanessa and I have been working hard to grow the company. We’ve both learnt a lot from the experience. Bootstrapping is really challenging. It forces you to think of ways to test your assumptions on a shoestring budget. Sometimes, you find yourself taking financial shortcuts that lead to a bad decision. You always learn from it. You have too.
So, what’s the update?
Well, I recently started at Freelancer.com as an Account Manager. Every day, I help customers learn how to engage freelancers. I help them identify and award the most suitable freelancer for the job. It often involves educating people about technical things, like designing and developing a website.
I also moved closer to work, which has got me back into cycling. FitUsIn is still chugging along. In fact, there are some exciting changes to come. I’ll keep you posted.
* With this new post, comes a new website. I would love your feedback.
